A SAD DAY

It was a sad day when we left The Bowmans.

Redbank Plains 005

Skin didn't want to leave as he was hoping he would be able to ride their racehorse in The Melbourne Cup this year.

BUT....ALL GOOD THINGS DO COME TO AN END....SOOOOO.......

We hit the road again heading for The Coast.

The rig seemed to be slightly shaky at Redbank Plains.

Skin had fallen asleep and as we rocked and rolled our way along the road, he dreamt that he was riding, not the racehorse in the Melbourne Cup , BUT Jabiru the bull!DSC03026

We reached a point in time when I felt a phone call to the RACQ

might be a good idea. Redbank Plains 012

It was just as well I made that call, as when LAURIE THE REMARKABLE RACQ MAN saw the tyres, a look of horror appeared on his face. Two of them were totally wrecked and the other four would need to be replaced in a matter of

Redbank Plains 011 days!

Skin did his best to help change one of the tyres, but the nuts proved too stiff for him to handle.

Redbank Plains 009

What an experience!

We had been saved from disaster and possibly a fate worse than coming down Mt Tambourine Mountain!

BUT...........

WOULD THE TYRES HOLD OUT UNTIL WE REACHED THE COAST?
