Last Wednesday, 2nd April, the Lunasea flag was taken down and packed in my rig and the Australian flag was hoisted in it's place on the deck of 'The Good Ship Lunasea'.
Finally our day of departure had arrived. On this grey, wild morning we set off and drove the tightly packed van through a torrent of wind, rain, swirling dust and falling branches. We were travelling through the eye of a severe storm.
Skin was panic stricken for the first 3 hours!!!! ![]()
But our vehicle is sturdy and strong and withstood the hurricane-like conditions as we lumbered onwards with our hearts in our mouths.
( I'm not sure whether Skin has a heart, but I like to think that he does)
We are resting for a few days 'off road' as Skin needs time to recover from his ordeal of 'first day travelling nerves.'
